Meet the Team

John Leefe

John is the founder and Senior partner of J P Leefe & Company. Graduating in business and marketing in 1977 he entered the world of high finance in 1980 before setting up the company in 1983 which originally specialised in the Expatriate market. With almost 30 years of experience in the Financial Services industry John is a Senior Financial Adviser dealing in all aspects of Corporate and Personal Financial Planning. Outside of work he is a woodland owner and a member of the Royal Forestry Society and can be found planting trees and making large bonfires to cook bacon and egg. Qualifying as a glider pilot in 1985 he has since gained a Private Pilots Licence and taken a share in a four seat Cessna aeroplane. Having been a Trustee of a charity specialising in caring for Learning and Severely Disabled people for several years, he is now serving as Chairman. John is married to Julie and lives in Oakham.

Julie Leefe

Julie is a partner in J P Leefe & Company and the Compliance Officer. Julie is a Business graduate who has worked in Market Research, Computer Consultancy and Technical writing for multi-national firms in London before moving to Rutland to work in Financial Services with John. As well as Compliance, Julie oversees the finance and IT functions within J P Leefe & Company. Julie has also recently qualified as a Financial Adviser having completed a Diploma in Financial Advice achieving the level 4 qualification required for RDR in 2013. Julie is a committed Christian who lives in Oakham and enjoys walking, kayaking and reading. John and Julie have three children.

Tim Seal

Tim is a Senior Financial Adviser, who has been with the company since 1993. Being involved in financial services for over twenty five years, he has wide-ranging experience in a number of aspects of financial services; specialising particularly in group schemes and pensions. Tim lives near Oakham and says he enjoys painting and real ale (although not always at the same time).

Pam Cope

Pam is a Senior Financial Administrator, who has been with J P Leefe and Company since 1994. Pam’s interests include music, theatre, photography, gardening, Latin American and ballroom dancing, planes and football. She is married with three children, four grandchildren, two cats, one dog and some fish.

Dick Brett

Dick joined the practice in 2007 as a self-employed Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Dick has 40 years experience in Financial Services ranging from actuarial, statistical, business analysis, finally becoming an IFA in 1997, advising across all areas of financial planning, specialising, to some extent, on trust and succession planning. Dick is married with five children and two Jack Russell terriers and moved into Greetham in 1988. Dick’s interests include cycling (cycled Lands End to John O’Groats), walking (completed the 3 Peak Challenge in 2008), rugby and football (although now restricted or rather advised to be a spectator only).
